The Original Yardie Candles acknowledges and celebrates Emancipation Day, August 1. On this day in 1834, Africans in British colonies received freedom from slavery. This is a special shout out to the former colonies in the Caribbean. Product Features: This pair of beeswax candles features the Rasta colors, green, gold and red, placed between black.
The beauty of these candles is found in its imperfections. The textures are slightly rough, the seamlines are pronounced and because each layer is hand poured, there are color drips that merge into another section. This aesthetics reflects the beauty that can be found in our lives, despite and because of our history that ultimately shapes us. Each candle is 14" tall x 1" at its widest point and burns for approximately 32 hours.
Beeswax burns clean. The wick is made only of cotton. The candles are unscented and therefore there is no fragrance to interfere with the aroma of food or other special moments. Just enjoy the beautiful candle and its light.
